Wish I Was Here...

Yep - I wish I was at Quiltcon!  I've never been but learned about half a year ago through the Modern Quilt Guild.  At the time I was a few months pregnant and did a quick calculation in my head - okay baby will be 3 months old...

Decision making was "YES GOOO!!!" ... and then reality hit in - I will have a newborn, just back from my maternity leave...and not to mention 2 other kids who are probably dying to get some quality time with their mommy.

So decision made - I'm not going.  But hopefully there will be enough fellow quilters there and enough photo sharing to make it feel like I'm there (hint hint) For those of you who are lucky enough to go (first off - LUCKY DUCK!), have a great trip!  Hopefully I will see you there next year :)

Currently Sewing With - Urban Ditsy

I have been dying to cut into this fabric and use it for something...ANYTHING.  So when little baby Aya went through all her burp clothes (again), I took the opportunity to use some of the beauty:

It's from Alexander Henry's new collection and this print is called Urban Ditsy in Tea (it's available here).  The flower is so unique and so gorgeous.  I love florals that isn't overly 'girly' and this is fits the bill perfectly.  I'll sew up some burp clothes and hopefully it'll last Aya through this super drooly stage :).  Pictures and all that good stuff coming soon.
