Made By ME #104 Linky Party and Features

Hi everyone!  It's beginning to feel like Christmas...well almost...  Let's get through Thanksgiving first.  We're resisting the urge to put up an early Christmas tree - it's hard when stores start selling Christmas items like TWO months ago!

But I do love Thanksgiving...especially the food and crafts.  Very pretty colors and delicious foods popping up everywhere.  Here's a few favorites that were shared at the party last week.  And of course, scroll down to add yours this week :)

Deer Crossing

There's been a lot of activity outside our home in the last few months.  Earlier in the summer we noticed a few deers roaming around our block.  Now there seems to be a whole family of them living in our side yard.  Here's Mommy and 2 babies:

They roam peacefully though I do get a little with the kids playing outside.  Though my new worry has been these guys (taken by a neighbor with a night vision camera):

Looks like there's been a wave of wild boar sitings in the area and others in California.  Our neighbors sited a few big ones and even a few babies.  This explains why the lawn in our yard is thrashed.

Marshmallows and Breakfast - But Not Together

We love our "new" kitchen (aka new to us).  The extra counter space as lend itself to a lot of new recipes and foods to try.  Experimentation with marshmallows ... recipe found here.

As easy as boil...

Mix...

Spread and let set...

It is absolutely delicious.  If you're marshmallow fan or kind of like it - give it a try!  You won't regret it :).  And also makes the BEST rice crispy treats.  You'll never buy them at the stores again!  Well maybe if you're in a pinch ;).

Since we brought a huge package of raw tortillas a little while back, I am finding ways to use it the last dozen of them.  Breakfast burrito time!

A little bit more time consuming than some of our other breakfasts to make but well worth the time.  It was delicious.  Kids loved it as well.  Win Win :).

Stuffed with bacon, eggs, potatoes and a little bit of bell pepper.  Yum!

Cozy Up With A New Fall Quilt

I know, I have this sickness with Autumn.  Maybe it's the beautiful colors, maybe it's the gorgeous weather, maybe the yummy foods...yes I love fall :).  That's why I am in love with this quilt.  I just finished it the other day and got a chance a few shots before listing in the shop.

Meet my latest quilt - a Autumn Chevron Quilt:

I am very excited that I finally got a chance to finish a TWIN size quilt - it's been a while and I really missed the larger quilt sizes.

I used the same fabrics for the backing and even repeated the chevron design in 2 rows in the back.

The warm earthy florals are just about perfect.  I quilted it free style for a soft finish.

The only regret I have about this quilt is not having more of these fabrics in my stash - I would love to make another one like it for my daughters room - a smaller toddler size.  Maybe I'll find some equivalents soon for that project.

This quilt is available at the shop right now.   Hopefully it'll find itself a nice home and be enjoyed for many many years to come.

Soft Floral Earth Tone Chevron Twin Sized Quilt
Front: 100% Cotton Prints and Solids
Batting: Warm & Natural 100% cotton
Backing: 100% Cotton Prints and Solids
Completed Dimension: ~73" x 88"
Quilting Method: Free Style Quilting throughout quilt
Binding: Machine Stitched for extra durability

Welcome back :).  Hope everyone had a safe and [spooky] fun Halloween.  We took our 3 little ones out around the neighborhood, but other than that we kept it pretty low-key.  I can't believe it' November already.  Around this time, things get busy busier right?  No doubt.  Thanks for all of you for joining this linky party - I know I enjoy posting weekly :).

Here are some highlights from the last party -- scroll to the bottom of this post to include yours this week.
