Chevrons are everywhere these days. I love the simplicity of the design and who doesn't like a little zigzag once in a while? :) It also happens to be one of my favorite quilt designs to use. So I was very happy to work on this small toddler quilt:
Sorry the picture quality this time isn't that great. My flash on the camera was dying and it was just a frustrating experience trying to get the shots that I wanted. Hopefully these are enough to see the details of the quilt.
For the quilting, I want with a straight line around the seams approach and added extra stitches between each seam. This gives the whole quilt a nice chevron design. I'm a sucker for bright binding and I am ecstatic that I had this beautiful stripe one from Riley Blake.
On the back I went for a big bold orange floral print with a solids to match the quilt front. I love how it turned out :).
The quilt to features 4 colorways - blue, orange, green and pinks. Each has matching prints that coordinates with each other.
I am very happy about how this quilt turned out. It has been washed and cuddly now for it's new home :).
