Little Boy Patchwork Quilt x 2

Double smiles for a double quilt finish!  I am very happy to share my 2 latest quilts.  They are inspired by the It's a Big Thing collection from Moda.  This project was started months ago and it is now ready for showing :)!

BoyQuilt-4

This quilt is all about BOY stuff. Trucks, cars, stars and the different hues of blues throughout this quilt screams BOY. I first fell in love with the trucks/cars fabric and really wanted to do a simple quilt around that fabric.

BoyQuilt

After the main fabric is picked it was easy to pulled coordinating fabrics together to create this great combo. I used a simple along the seam-straight line quilting technique for this patchwork quilt. Keeping the lines simple and clean.

BoyQuilt-3

For the binding, I used a coordinating stripe fabric.

BoyQuilt-5

Goes well with the second quilt as well (same quilt top and binding, just a different backing print)

BoyQuilt-6

My 2 boys are 6 and 4 now and have big boy quilts of their own, so I will not be keeping these two quilts around the house so they are available at my little Etsy shop HERE and HERE

I love how they came out! They are both so fresh and fun, and the size will make it so they can be used for many years. Well done!

very cute! I LOVE the fabric... my boys would love this... one of my next projects is to take a crib quilt and add fabric to it to make it now for a toddler bed... I came over from Sugar Bee Crafts. Would love for you to share this at my Tuesday Link party as well! http://www.nap-timecreations.com/2013/03/st-pattys-pasta-and-tasteful-tuesday.html
